As part of the Governor's budget initiatives to address revenue shortfalls for fiscal year 2009 and provide one source of funding for transportation infrastructure in 2010, the RMV is proposing modest increases in licensing, registration and other RMV services. View the fee changes online here.
The public is invited to register comments on the fee revisions at a hearing on March 16 in the State Transportation Building, 2nd Floor, Conference Room 2-3 at 10:00am or in writing before 5pm, March 19, 2009.

Our Commonwealth is considering putting a GPS in every car? When I first heard this I thought it was just nonsense that someone at Fox News made up. I can't believe it. How much is this going to cost the tax-payers? Once you get finished making it industrial hardened and tamper proof, do you think this gadget is going to be cheap? Someone (guess who) will have to pay for it. That's a big hunk of change. Forget it. I won't put one on my car; just try to make me!

Why make the fuel conscious motorcycles pay $5 less than a passenger vehicle? Their 2 wheels do a whole lot less damage to the roadways that the 4 wheels of a passenger vehicle.........What's the incentive to take the bike to work versus my car? Most cars are registered for the roads for yearly driving. Motorcyclist generally ride their bikes 6 months at best........The fees are not fair for the time span...
