The first of four "leafs" for the new Brightman Street bridge is scheduled to arrive in Fall River by barge on Monday, July 27. As shown above, the leafs are part of the double bascule, or movable, bridge design. The other three leafs will arrive separately during the next nine months. The MassHighway Brightman Street bridge project is scheduled for completion in 2012. Read the Fall River Herald News story here.
