Transportation reform and the collaborative search for efficiency take another step forward beginning today.
A cooperative venture between the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority and the MBTA will save more than $500,000 a year. The Turnpike will use the MBTA money processing facility and armored courier services, replacing a contracted out service that cost $747,000 a year. The T will perform the same services for less than one-third of that cost.
