The landmark Tobin Bridge officially joins the MassDOT family on January 1, 2010. Three year old Knox Wallask and HIS family had a special tour of the Tobin just before Halloween.
Knox told his mom he wanted to visit the Tobin for Halloween. His parents went to work on a special bridge costume while the Tobin staff including Director Mary Jane O'Meara, at right, not only gave Knox and family a guided tour but sent Knox on his way with a Tobin Bridge fun bag complete with Halloween candy, of course.
Wonderful memories for a boy, his family, and for Tobin employees. More photos after the break.

This is one of the examples of the forward looking leadership we have in our Director Mary Jane O'Meara. Mary Jane has always given Charlestown as well as other cities her personal attention. As a staff member who has experienced her first hand for over 30 years, we will miss the Massachusetts Port Authority Tobin Memorial Bridge quality service we strive to offer to our patrons. Ms. Wallask called me hoping to get her son a little tour of the Bridge. Mary Jane was happy to grant little Knox’s Halloween wish

That is so adorable! I'm pretty sure the kids enjoyed their visit at the bridge.

I could not pass this by with out saying just how cute that costume is and how heart warming to hear how sincere and kind everyone is there at The Tobin Bridge. I am sure it was a great Halloween thrill for Three year old Knox Wallask and his family.

Thanks to all the staff of the Tobin Bridge for making our grandson's Halloween so special. They all should be very proud of themselves for doing such a great job.

Thanks so much to Lisa, Debra, Mary Jane, Joe, and the rest of the Tobin staff for arranging this visit for Knox and rest of us. We had a great time meeting everyone and getting a tour of the bridge -- everyone up there was very accommodating. We love the photo of our kid in the toll booth.
And it really is true that Knox talks all the time about the bridge ("Tobin" was one of the first words he learned). Every morning he lines up all of his toy cars on a couch in our back room and tells us, "There's traffic on the Tobin Bridge."

This is one of the examples of the great leadership we have in our Director Mary Jane O'Meara. Mary Jane has always given Chelsea and Charlestown as well as other community her personal attention. As a staff member who has seen her first hand for over fifteen years, we will miss the Massachusetts Port Authority Tobin Memorial Bridge quality service we strive to offer to our patrons. Ms. Wallask called me hoping to get her son a little tour of the Bridge. Mary Jane was happy to grant little Knox’s Halloween wish. I contacted Lisa Langone of Massport Communication Department and the Tobin Bridge staff went into action to make it a special visit. He was so adorable dressed up as the Tobin Bridge. His parents and little brother Gus really enjoyed their visit!
