The purpose of this meeting is to present the Fore River Bridge Replacement project and the different bridge types being evaluated as part of the design and federal NEPA environmental review process. The project team will summarize comments received to date and MassDOT staff will answer questions.
The replacement of the Fore River Bridge, which carries Route 3A over the Fore River between Quincy and Weymouth, is part of Governor Patrick's 8-year, $3 billion Accelerated Bridge Program (ABP). This is one of the most significant ABP projects being undertaken by MassDOT. The result will be a permanent, movable bridge to replace the current temporary span.
