Here are additional updates on morning commute road conditions from MassDOT. Some improvements are reported but many roads remain restricted or closed. Please plan ahead and allow extra time today if traveling in these areas:
Saugus - Rte 1 NB and SB now only minor amount of water Lincoln - Right lane 2A EB open Lincoln - Route 2 WB & EB (at Lexington Road) open Woburn - Maple St. (local roadway) open Burlington - Ramp - Route 128 SB to Rte 3A open Chelmsford - 495 SB stormwater cleared, open Freetown - Rte 140 NB - Closed from exit 7-8 Holbrook - Route 37 between Quincy St and South St - open with restriction Plainville - Rte 1 NB and SB - Closed due to flooding Passing lane open Freetown - Rte 24 NB & SB - Passing lane closed in both directions Fall River - Rte 24 NB - Open to traffic Fall River - Rte 24 - Exit 5 open by 8am Dighton - Rte 44 - Closed at Danford Street Norton - Rte 123 - Closed between Powder St and N. Worcester St. Norton - Rte 140 - Lane restriction at Norton reservoir East Bridgewater - Rte 18 - Closed at Rte 106 Whitman - Rte 18 - Closed between Rte 14 and Rte 27 Lakeville - Rte 105 Closed
Uxbridge - Rte 146A SB at Mill St. Water over topping
Wayland - Rte 20 WB at Weston/Wayland town line - Closed. Detour onto Old CT Pass
Haggets - I-93 NB - Exit 43 Closed
Saugus - Rte 1 NB and SB open, minor water on road.
Danvers- Right lane closed due to potholes, 114EB from Garden St. to traffic light at Wal-Mart.
Lincoln - Right lane 2A EB at Brook Rd open
Lincoln - Route 2 WB & EB (at Lexington Road) open
Burlington - Ramp - Route 128 SB to Rte 3A open, no restrictions.
Chelmsford - 495 SB open
Woburn - Salem St closed due to flooding (Aberjona River). 2AB's.
Billerica - Rte 3A at Shawsheen River, river rising. Traffic in both directions open for AM commute, water continues to rise.
Wilmington - Lane restricted, Rte 38 South of Rte 62 due to water coming off tracks.
Woburn - Washington St. right lanes closed, left lanes getting by. Water from Staples lot.
Haverhill - 495SB at exit 52, open.
Haverhill - Rte 110 at Kenoza Lake, lanes restricted due to wetland flooding.
Peabody - Numerous potholes 128SB before Lowell St. Crews on the way
Freetown - Rte 140 SB - Closed from exit 9-8
Freetown - Rte 140 NB - Closed from exit 7-8
Freetown - Narrow St. Bridge - Closed through morning -
Freetown: Route 24 NB & SB @ Exit 9, ramps closed due to washout of Narrows Road & South Main Street Area.
Holbrook - Route 37 between Quincy St and South St - open with restriction
Taunton - Route 44 road flooding near Taunton River - Route 44 detoured at Long Meadow Rd EB in Taunton and South Street in Raynham WB
Dighton - Route 138 at Muddy Cove - detour Hart St to Elm St to Main St back to Route 138 - road flooded and detoured
Westport - Route 6 EB & WB at Bread and Cheese Brook flooded over road - detour being implemented around this area
Plainville - Rte 1 NB and SB - Closed due to flooding. Passing lane open
Freetown - Rte 24 NB & SB - Passing lane closed in both directions
Fall River - Rte 24 NB - Open to traffic
Fall River - Rte 24 - Exit 5 closed but should be opened within an hour.
Dighton - Rte 44 - Closed at Danford Street
Norton - Rte 123 - Closed between Powder St and N. Worcester St.
Norton - Rte 140 - Lane restriction at Norton reservoir
East Bridgewater - Rte 18 - Closed at Rte 106
Whitman - Rte 18 - Closed between Rte 14 and Rte 27
Lakeville - Rte 105 Closed
Sudbury police have a great map of the Sudbury area flooding(see link below). How about something similar for MA?
