Flooding continues to impact state roadways in many parts of the state. Route 140, Freetown, is seen at left.
MassDOT has the latest information about road closures, restrictions, and the reopening of some previously-closed roads, below:
Peabody -Route 128 southbound before Lowell St. OPEN until 7pm, temporary pothole patching donePeabody- Route 128 southbound emergency complete resurfacing is required due to severe road deterioration caused by recent weather. Work begins at 7:00 pm and will continue through the evening and through the Thursday AM commute. A significant morning commuter impact is expected. Plan accordingly. Message boards in place.
Littleton- Route 119 culvert repair continues, with a signed detour route in place
Uxbridge- Route 146A at Mill St. now OPEN in both directionsWayland- Route 20 westbound at Weston/Wayland town line- Closed
N. Reading- Route 28 closed at the Andover/N. Reading line due to flooding
North Andover- Right lane restricted Route 114E at Turnpike St., roadside erosion
Billerica- Route 3A at Shawsheen River OPEN in both directions for PM commute, water receding
Wilmington- Route 38 south of Rte 62, open
Braintree- Route 37 closed at Hancock St. by Town- detour through Washington St. neighborhood
Concord- Route 2 westbound to Sudbury Rd. left turn lane closedDanvers- Route 114EB from Garden St. to traffic light at Wal-Mart, repaired, OPEN for PM commute
Lincoln- Route 2 WB & EB OPEN except for breakdown lanes
Lakeville- Route 18 along Assawampset Pond between Route 18/105 and Main St closed- detour Precinct St to County Rd to Freetown St to Howland Rd to Washburn St back to County Rd to Mason Rd
E. Bridgewater- Route 18 at Route 106 closed- detour in place, water receding, may open in a few hours
Whitman - Route 18 between Route 27 and Route 14 - OPEN
Holbrook - Route 37 - OPEN
Plainville - Route 1 NB & SB openNorton - Route 123 between Powder Rd and No. Worcester St - OPEN
Norton - Route 140 by Reservoir - restricted - alternating traffic
Freetown - Route 24 SB at the railroad bridge (between Exit 8 & 9) high speed lane closed
Freetown - Route 140 SB closed between Exit 9 and Exit 8
New Bedford/Freetown - Route 140 closed between Exit 7 & 8
New Bedford - Ramp from Acushnet Ave to Route 140 NB closed - detour along Acushnet Ave
Taunton/Raynham - Route 44 closed between Arlington Street (44 EB) in Taunton to South St (44 WB) in Raynham - Route 44 WB is allowing access to businesses to Route 104 intersection, all other traffic detoured at South St
Westport - Route 6 at Bread and Cheese brook - OPENDighton - Route 138 at Muddy Cove - OPEN
Swansea - Route 6 WB - OPEN

why is route 119 on the pepperell groton line not reported? It would of been really nice to know since it adds an hour onto a commute that is already an hour! Please post when it is open again.

Thank you so much for posting this. My husband has been sat in a traffic jam on Rte 140 for 2 hours now, with no explanation and I was able to tell him the road is closed.
Real shame this info can't be broadcast on the radio or *511! He was travelling from Braintree to New Bedford and could have gone Rte 3.
