MassDOT has the following lists of road closures and other impacts on transportation from the record rainfall of the month and this week. This information is as of 5:00am, so plan ahead for morning travel.
Haggetts - I-93 NB - Exit 43 Closed
Freetown - Rte 140 SB - Closed from exit 9-8
Freetown - Narrow St. Bridge
Freetown: Route 24 NB & SB @ Exit 9, ramps closed due to washout of Narrows Road & South Main Street Area.
Holbrook - Route 37 between Quincy St and South St - road flooded and detoured
Taunton - Route 44 road flooding near Taunton River - Route 44 detoured at Long Meadow Rd
EB in Taunton and South Street in Raynham WB
Dighton - Route 138 at Muddy Cove - detour Hart St to Elm St to Main St back to Route 138 - road flooded and detoured
Westport - Route 6 EB & WB at Bread and Cheese Brook flooded over road - detour being implemented around this area
Plainville - Rte 1 SB - Closed due to flooding
Saugus - Rte 1 NB and SB some standing water in right travel lanes south of Essex St.
Billerica Be prepared for detour at Rte 3A at Shawsheen River as river is rising.
Danvers, Right lane closed due to potholes, 114EB from Garden St. to traffic light at Wal-Mart.
Lincoln - right lane restricted 2A EB at Brook Rd.
Lincoln - Route 2 EB (at Lexington Road) 1st travel lanes closed. WB lane opened 3:25AM.
Woburn - Maple St. (local roadway) closed at base of ramp 93N to Montvale Ave
Burlington Drivers should be aware that the shoulder (not travel lanes) is closed at Ramp - Route 128 SB to Rte 3A.
Chelmsford - 495 SB reports of stormwater sheeting across roadway. Drive carefully.
Woburn - Salem St closed due to flooding (Aberjona River).
North Andover - Right lane restricted Rte 114 E at 1271 Turnpike St.
Wilmington - Lane restricted Rte 38 South of Rte 62 due to water coming off tracks.
Woburn - Washington St. right lanes closed, left lanes getting by.
Haverhill - City closed flooded ramp 495SB at exit 52.
Haverhill - Rte 110 at Kenoza Lake, lanes restricted due to wetland flooding.
On the MBTA, portions of Bus routes 134, 215 and 230 are being diverted due to flooding.
Norwood Airport currently closed to fixed-wing aircraft due to Neponset River flooding.
What about Route 28 on the North Reading and Andover line. I heard it was closed due to flooding?
