As part of his focus on safety, MBTA General Manager Richard Davey today announced a new MBTA Safety Hotline for employees, in order to provide an immediate means to voice safety concerns.
Hotline callers will be asked to provide detailed information about the nature and location of the hazard or safety concern. Employee callers may remain anonymous or leave contact information. An MBTA Safety Department representative will respond.
The MBTA strives every day to ensure that all employees are working in a safe and healthy environment. As required by existing rules, employees should contact the Dispatcher, the nearest Official, or their Supervisor if they encounter anything that is an immediate danger to employees or customers.
