MassDOT has scheduled a Public Information Meeting for the Route 79/ I-195 Interchange Project for:
Wednesday, April 13, 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Fall River Heritage State Park Visitor’s Center
200 Davol Street, Fall River
The meeting will provide an overview of the plans to improve the Route 79/I-195 Interchange near Battleship Cove. MassDOT is working with a Task Force of local and regional representatives and residents to study alternatives for long-term improvements to the interchange.
This update meeting will:
- Provide an update and details related to the selected alternative—removing the elevated highway—to improve the Rte.79/I-195 Interchange
- Review the design and construction timeline
- Describe future opportunities to participate in the project
- View the 60-scale study model illustrating the proposed project
Following the presentation, MassDOT staff will answer questions, get feedback on the proposed project, and gather input for the design phase of the project.
