The MassDOT Highway Division's office in Lenox reports more than 25 separate road locations with Irene-related impacts from roadway damage or flooding in Western Massachusetts, seen below, including along Route 2, Route 8, Route 20, and Route 112. Sections of roads are reopening as waters subside and repairs are made, while others await future repair.

I called Mass dot they didn’t have a clue how could find out road closures then when I found this map it is two days old. Mass high paid hacks at work again. Take a look at Vermont’s website updated almost on the hour. Oh by the way I was impressed with the governors trip to Williamstown to place that has flooded almost every spring as long I can renumber and claims Mass will do what they can to for money. The first thing is move the park. Sorry but this is typical Mass work Thank god I left the state

Brook Road in Greenfield is closed, but is not listed.

Thanks, our list covers state roadways and may not include portions of local roads still closed.

Very informative, but for the most part I can't determine whether a given road is open. I'd like to see something like this map (1) instead. Unfortunately, that map is based on now two-day old Mass DOT information (2) and is in no way official/authoritative.
Too much to ask?

Thanks - I had to drive from outside Boston to Williamstown today and was glad I saw the route 2 closure on your site so I could find an alternate route. The Google map of current conditions is a great help. While the municipalities and state are working hard to inspect and fix the roads, good communication will help everyone.
