"By consolidating customer services in a convenient and centralized location, (moving operations from the space-constrained Back Bay and Harvard Square offices to the new CharlieCard store)"

How is Downtown Crossing more convenient for people near Harvard Square and Back Bay?

There was no space constraint at those offices. And from what I hear, the new Downtown Crossing office has huge lines which block other passageways in the station.

This is a reduction in service -- two of the three offices are now closed. Don't try to pretend it's something good from the passenger's point of view.

Charlie looks great! I hope he makes new friends for the T and helps remind everyone of the great asset that is our transit system.
