The money you provide to the railroads needs to come with strings attached. We need our railroads to be environmentally responsible. That includes properly disposing of solid waste, rather than storing it on their property or along the tracks; cleaning up any leaks of oil or other substances; and not spraying herbicides in wetlands and waterways.

Massachusetts doesn't have a rail network, Boston has a commuter rail system. Once there is a single train that doesn't go to Boston, we might start saying that we have a rail network.

Thanks for your comment. The Massachusetts rail network includes hundreds of miles of track across the Commonwealth providing both freight and regional passenger rail service.
