An online web cam updated every 15 minutes is now available to view the progress to replace the Kenneth F. Burns Memorial Bridge.
This week, the project site work includes the positioning of the 300 ton crane which will assist in the construction of the bridge starting with the installation of the permanent foundation piles of the new eastbound bridge.
This operation will generate loud sounds from the steel piles being driven deep below the lake bed, with the work done only during daytime hours.

This web-cam provides a still image of the job site refreshed every 15 minutes. Viewers with up-to-date versions of Java running with their internet browser can pan, tilt, and zoom the view to look at different parts of the project.
The Burns Bridge is being replaced as part of the Patrick-Murray Administration’s Accelerated Bridge Program to repair or replace structurally deficient bridges across the Commonwealth.
