MassDOT Secretary & CEO Richard A. Davey will hold a relighting ceremony for the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge this Friday, December 14, at 4pm at Paul Revere Park in Charlestown.
MassDOT, local officials, the Zakim family, The Lenny Zakim Fund, the Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Philips Color Kinetics will gather for a speaking program leading up to the big lighting reveal.
The celebratory relighting is the culmination of a joint effort to bathe the Bridge in bold blue light using the latest in energy efficient LED technology.
It also brings to light the benefits of public/private collaborations to strengthen our community, in this case by creating a beacon of light for Boston residents, neighbors and visitors.
Following a speaking program, the lights will be revealed at approximately 4:45pm.
