I thought the 128 corridor had bad car-oriented sprawl. Until I saw the 495-9 area -- I'd never seen such an unpleasant part of Massachusetts.

For example, it can be a mile and a half walk just to get directly across Route 9 from where you're starting. And there's hardly any housing within a few miles, so everyone has to drive 10+ miles on the Pike or 495 to get to work.

I hope any future development in the area doesn't just slap bike paths onto existing roads, but actually considers where people want to go and how hard it will be for them to get there.
